Clients and projects
A task belongs to a project, a project to a client.
A client groups projects; a task always belongs to a project.
Clients are managed from Clients, projects from Projects. A client has a name, a logo — shown on the PDF reports that concern it — its legal details and a default day rate.
A project is created with its client: pick an existing one, create it on the fly, or tick Internal project for a project with no client (training, pre-sales…). A project carries:
- a name, a description and a color;
- an optional day rate, which replaces the client’s for this project.
The Projects page groups them by client, or as a list.
Deleting a project deletes its tasks. To keep it readable without counting it in your plan, archive it.
